Once that engine is fully build and ready, you swap out your current engine. This takes a lot of time pressure out of the build. And things build in a hurry = issues. Once done, you can always sell your current engine and end with much of the same expense, but you have a car to drive while doing so.

Before i get flamed I've searched and this is the parts list I've found to make it work supposedly. K24z3 block. K24z3 timing cover (modified) K24z4 headgasket,timing chain,guides. K20a2 head. K20a2 ckp sensor and pulser plate. K20a2 oil pump. For those that have this setup, have u had any problems with the pistons making contact with the valves?

Sub a qt. of Marvel Mystery Oil during an oil change to clean out the oil return passageways, get a top end de-carbonation done once every yr. or every 2 yrs. They are cheap and plentiful. Our test engine was only $350 delivered from a local salvage yard. The K24Z3 found in the Honda Accord can also be used, but does have a slightly lower compression ratio (10.7:1 vs. 11:1).
